Home Invasion Suspects Struck Father, Nearly Drowned His Son
Caitlin Espinosa, the Fort Bend County Public Information Officer, declared that the events that transpired on Monday shocked her colleagues. Even seasoned officers were appalled to hear the 7-year-old child call for help, while a suspect dunked him in bathtub water.
According to Espinosa, on Monday, a man called 911 to report a home invasion. Upon arriving at the indicated address, the lawmen found an adult male with facial injuries and a soaking-wet infant. Both were taken to the hospital. The child was treated for water in his lungs.
Based on the father’s testimony, three suspects wearing hoods and carrying handguns broke into the house and demanded his valuables. The man told the police that one of them struck him in the head with the gun.
While one of the suspects ravaged the home in search for valuables, another one went upstairs and filled the tub with water. According to the authorities, the suspect dragged the child upstairs and spent the next 40 minutes dunking the child’s head in water in an attempt to intimidate his father.
There’s an audio recording available which captures the gut-wrenching screams of the boy as the suspect nearly drowns him. Public Information Officer Espinosa declared that the recording is too disturbing to be made public.
Conclusion
The home invasion suspects left the man’s home carrying cash, jewelry, smartphones, and a set of car keys. Crime Stoppers offered a $25,000 to anyone with information on the suspects.
