An Xbox One, a PlayStation 4 and a Wii U Can Be Yours for 570$

"game console"

The retailer Game Stop offers some really good holiday discounts.

The best late Christmas gift for gamers all around the United States has finally arrived. An Xbox One, a PlayStation 4 and a Wii U can be yours for 570$. There is one small downside though, the consoles are already used or second hand, but their quality is a really good one.

Usually, the retailer Game Stop sells Xbox One for 290$, Play Station 4 for 320$ and Wii U for 260 $ and they are still used consoles. Purchased together, these were 870$ in the past, which means that the 300 $ discount makes for a really good deal. Unfortunately, gamers from outside the United States won’t be able to purchase the great package. As this is a holiday discount, nobody knows how long will the offer last.

Now, let us give you some information on each of the three consoles. The Xbox One was developed by Microsoft and was launched in 2013. The console offers a split-screen feature, motion tracking, voice recognition and the ability to live stream the game or share highlights with other gamers.

Wii U on the other hand was created by Nintendo and was released in 2012. This console offers high definition graphics, an embedded touch screen and an integrated social networking system, which allows you to share information in the game community.

The PlayStation 4 was developed by Sony and was launched in 2013. The PlayStation 4 offers the ability to stream game playing online, the ability to play games off the console and it has a very powerful Accelerated Processing Unit.

The Wii U storage space has only 32 GB, while the Xbox One and PlayStation can store up to 500 GB. The consoles created by Sony and Microsoft each come with a wireless controller and their own power cords and HDMI cables. The console created by Nintendo comes with its own AC adapter and Game Pad device, power cord and HDMI cable.

Although this is the best holiday offer by GameStop, there are other good offers on the site as well. The Xbox One is included on a 300$ offer that includes the 500 GB version of the console and the “Gears of War Ultimate Edition”. “Gears of war” is a game developed in 2006 by Microsoft and focuses on a troop’s efforts to try and save the last humans of the planet Sera from a subterranean enemy. This was the fastest selling game of 2006.Microsoft is also having holiday sales at its Xbox Store, which will last until January 7 and includes discounts on over 200 games.

An Xbox One, a PlayStation 4 and a Wii U can be yours for 570$, but as this is a really good discount, you should hurry up and buy the package.

PCs and Macs Will Be Eligible For The Remote Play Feature

PCs and Macs Will Be Eligible For The Remote Play Feature

The news of developing a PlayStation 2 emulator got Sony fans really excited in the last week, but you can imagine how everybody reacted when the company unveiled that there will be a Remote Play feature coming in the future. PCs and Macs will be eligible for the Remote Play feature, since they are the most commonly used platforms used. This is perhaps the best move that Sony could have made because it will surely span fidelity from more non-console users.

The announcement was officially made by the Sony Worldwide Studios CEO, Shuhei Yoshida, who has mentioned it via Twitter. It looks like we will be dealing with an actual licensed application which Sony has already begun working on. The bad news, however, is that we do not know when this application will be officially launched. Nothing like a good old teaser to keep everyone on their toes.

Remote Play demonstrated that it was one of the most desired programs for streaming PlayStation 4 games. Not only does Sony benefit from all the people using this feature, but enabling it for other platforms might be enough to make their users interested in the console itself. Streaming finds itself at the heart of gaming these days, especially since there is great focus on sharing the gaming experience, so it is fair to say that this is a great step forward that Sony is making.

On the other hand, since all the good news was already released, people are wondering what will Sony reveal in terms of competition and keeping the same level of interest in potential customers. We have the PlayStation 2 emulator and the Remote Play, which are really good game breakers, but what else? The PlayStation 4 is a fairly young console, if we consider that the general lifespan for a PS is 7 to 10 years, so Sony needs to keep convincing people that the PS 4 is the best option out there.

The PlayStation 2 was by far Sony’s greatest success in terms of sales, having sold 120 million devices in its lifespan. The PlayStation 3 was relatively left behind with 80 million devices sold and the PlayStation 4 has just hit the 30 million milestone. The fact that PCs and Macs will be eligible for the Remote Play feature is a great boost, but we definitely need a lot more than that.

Sony is a very reliable company, nonetheless, so we can expect that the PS 4 will reach at least the same milestone as the PS 3 did.

Can The Nintendo NX Beat The PlayStation 4?

Can The Nintendo NX Beat The PlayStation 4?

Here is a question that people have been debating for a few days: can the Nintendo NX beat the PlayStation 4? Or could we even ask if it is going to beat the Xbox? Because taking over these two giants will surely be something. But we really do not expect so much from Nintendo. It has always been a good console, but never that good or with that much demand.

The Wall Street Journal have written a few things on the topic and they seem like enough information to speculate, but not draw solid conclusions. For the time being, the console is just headed towards the developers and it will probably be available for release in 2016. The interesting news is that it might be the type of console that people have been demanding for some time: the “play at home – take with you console.” Yes, they want to make it portable.

The Journal also mentions that Nintendo is going to play rough. No more childish approach, no more “hey, I’m another console on the market; please buy me.” Nintendo seems to want to “put industry-leading chips in the NX devices” most likely as a result of the criticism towards Wii U’s inside gear, which seemed to stand no chance in from of the competition on the market.

It is interesting to think of a world in which Nintendo would hold PlayStation and Xbox in the palm of their hands. It is definitely not something that hardcore gamers can get used to, but we cannot exclude the possibility. We are already used to “bad” games becoming super popular over the night and “good” games turning out to be some of the worst ideas ever, so why can’t consoles get the benefit of the doubt?

PlayStation has been dominating the market for years and that sort of created a “cultural expectation.” The Xbox has pretty much done the same thing, so people have grown used to looking at these two big guys because they are the ideal purchase with good offers and with all producers backing them up with every game they release. Nintendo have been associated with the “oh, and it’s those guys, too” mentality.

We are still waiting for 2016, so the question remains the same: can the Nintendo NX beat the PlayStation 4? Maybe. It is not 100% likely, but we really do not know what to expect. And in situations like these, we’d best let time decide.
