COUNCIL CHRONICLE – Mesa detectives have recently announced the reopening of the 1999 Mikelle Biggs kidnapping case after a Wisconsin resident found a one dollar bill with mysterious scribblings. The authorities said that it’s a fair chance that the dollar bill might lead to another dead end as the other clues uncovered in Biggs’ case.
Dollar Bill Impossible to Trace Back to Owner, Authorities Declared
At the beginning of the week, the Mesa detectives have decided to review the facts in Mikelle Biggs’ 1999 disappearance after a Wisconsin police officer contacted them about a new clue to the girl’s whereabouts.
Kevin Wilkinson, the Neesha Chief of Police, declared that the recent piece of evidence consisted of a nine-year-old one dollar bill which was brought to the police station by an individual who collects girl scout memorabilia.
According to Wilkinson, the person who stumbled upon the dollar bill came across it by accident. He did not think much of it, at first, but later discovered a handwritten message on the top part of the bill. Scribbled in pen, the message read:
My name is Mikel Biggs kidnapped from Mesa Az I’m Alive.
What’s even more puzzling is that the citizen wasn’t even aware of Biggs’ disappearance but decided to hand over the dollar bill after he did a little research on Google.
The Mesa detectives are somewhat circumspect regarding this piece of evidence, as all leads in Biggs’ disappearance turned out to be dead ends. However, the authorities have sent the bill to the lab for analysis, hoping to uncover a new clue.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the case, on the 2nd of January 1999, Mikelle Biggs was standing outside her Mesa home with her sister, waiting for the ice-cream truck. Biggs sister went inside the house to fetch a coat as it was nippy outside but returned after a minute or two.
Mikell was missing, and the only thing left behind was her upturned bicycle. The authorities thoroughly investigated the case but could find neither a suspect nor any palpable clue that would lead them to the girl.
