On Friday, a Georgia woman pleaded guilty to numerous charges related to child molestation. The 25-year-old woman arrested in early April after the authorities discovered that she pimped her daughters, ages 5 and 6, to men in exchange for money and drugs. The molesters have been sentenced in late April.
Georgia Woman Took Daughters to Men’s Home to Be Raped
Morgan Summerlin, a 25-year-old mother from Georgia, recently pleaded guilty to enticing a minor for indecent purposes, human trafficking, and cruelty towards children. The woman is scheduled to return to court on the 4th of June to receive her sentence.
DA Paul L. Howard Jr., in charge of Summerlin’s case, commented that this was one of the most horrific cases he encountered in his career and hopes that the children will find a way to survive the abuse.
According to court documents, the Georgia woman would take their daughters to various men where they were sexually abused in exchange for drugs and sometimes money.
The prosecution cited one similar case involving Summerlin dropping her two daughters at a 78-year-old man, later identified as Richard “Pop” Office. Upon arriving at the man’s home, Pop offered Summerlin drugs and retired to his bedroom with her daughters.
While the Georgia woman was lying on Pop’s couch, the man forced on her daughters to rub his feet while he molested her sister. A similar incident took place a week apart but this time at the house of one Alfredo Trejo. Authorities refused to disclose details about the encounter with Trejo but did point out that there were similarities to the Pop encounter.
Prior to Summerlin’s court appearance, Pop was sentenced to life in prison without parole and Trejo to 25 years behind bars.
Summerlin’s mother was also found guilty on charges of child endangerment for refusing to help her granddaughters.
