The Bever brothers used similar knives during the Broken Arrow murders.
COUNCIL CHRONICLE – Michael Bever, the Oklahoma man who butchered five family members in 2015, was recently found guilty by the jury. Bever is scheduled to return to court next week for sentencing. Robert Bever, Michael’s brother and the individual who talked him into stabbing the entire family, was sentenced to life in prison without parole for the Broken Arrow murders.
Attorneys Argue that Robert’s Mental Condition Played Major Role in Broken Arrow Murders
On Wednesday, an Oklahoma jury found Michael Bever guilty on five counts of first-degree murder.
Despite the defense arguing that Bever is “a gentle young man” who has been led astray by his mentally-ill brother, the prosecution stated that Bever and his older brother have no place in society.
According to court documents, in 2015, Robert Bever persuaded his younger brother to go on a murder spree.
On that night, the Bever brothers waited for everyone to go to bed before commencing the massacre.
The prosecution reveals that the siblings entered their mother’s bedroom and stabbed the woman at least 40 times.
Regrettably, the Bever brothers’ night of terror was far from over. After knifing the woman to death, the brothers hounded and stabbed their father.
Moreover, based on the testimony of the only survivor, Robert Bever’s sister, after stabbing their parents, the brothers lured the children out of the bedroom by knocking on the door.
The child, who recently turned 18, was also injured during the attack but managed to escape in time to call the authorities.
Conclusion
Months prior to Michael’s trial, Robert was found guilty and sentenced to 28 years in prison without parole for the Broken Arrow murders.
After sentencing the man, the judge declared that no one would want to live anywhere near the Bever brother after what they’ve done to their family.
