COUNCIL CHRONICLE – Brittany Zamora, a 27-year-old Arizona Elementary school teacher, was recently taken into custody after the authorities uncovered that she had sex with a 13-year-old student. As the woman’s arrest warrant reveals, there were also claims of Zamora performing fellatio on the student while they were at school.

Arizona Elementary School Teacher Admits Relationship with Minor

At the beginning of March, Brittany Zamora, a teacher at the Las Brisas Academy Elementary School, was arrested by the Arizona authorities and charged with multiple counts related to having sexual relations with a minor and transmitting pornographic material.

According to the authorities, the teacher’s love affair with the student began in early February. While organizing a classroom chat group, Zamora allegedly started flirting with her 13-year-old student.

Beginning with the 2nd of February and until the woman’s arrest on the 8th of March, Zamora has been exchanging sexually explicit photographs over social media with the boy and also having sex with him at least three times.

The prosecution reveals that two of the alleged oral sex acts Zamora is accused of, happened inside the classroom and in the woman’s car. More than that, a chat history reveals that the woman was on the verge of quitting her day job as a teacher in order to have sex with the 13-year-old. The Arizona elementary school teacher also wrote to the boy that she wants to have him around all the time.

Conclusion

Things took a turn for the worst in Zamora’s case after the boy’s parents discovered their relationship. Reportedly, the 13-year-old’s father got a call from Zamora’s husband who begged him not to go to the authorities.

Instead, the individual proposed to meet up and fight for the teacher’s hand. The man declined and went to the authorities. Zamora was arrested and booked into county jail on a $250,000 bond.

Bookkeeper of Auschwitz Oskar Gröning Passes Away at 96

March 14, 2018 By Adam Martin Leave a Comment

Bookkeeper of Auschwitz Passes Away

The Bookkeeper of Auschwitz was found guilty of partaking in the extermination of 300,000 prisoners during his stay at the extermination camp.

On Friday, Oskar Gröning, also known as the Bookkeeper of Auschwitz, passed away at the age of 96. For his allegiance to the Nazi regime and his role in keeping a record of all valuables belonging to Auschwitz prisoners, Gröning was trialed as a war criminal and sentenced to four years of imprisonment in July 2015.

Bookkeeper of Auschwitz Kept Detailed Journal of Atrocities Committed by Guards

Gröning was born on the 10th of June 1921 in Lower Saxony to a conservative family led by a skilled and enterprising textile worker. With his mother passing away when he was four years of age, Gröning struggled with his authoritarian father.

The man’s first recollections of childhood were related to obedience and discipline taken to the extreme. Although he was ordained to thread in his father’s footsteps, Gröning fancied a military way of life over the dullness of working with textiles.

Still, at the age of 17, he began his bank clerking apprenticeship. Gröning would never graduate, as the Second World War broke out after just a short while.

Although his father opposed Gröning’s desire to join the military, given his war experience, the young and naïve never-to-be bank clerk went against his father wishes and signed up with the SS.

Following a short indoctrination session, Gröning and several other recruits were secretly shipped to the Nazi concentration camp in German-occuppied Poland. In his memoirs, the man noted that he and his companions were forced to sign non-disclosure documents which forbade them to speak to family, friends, and even comrades-in-arms about their destination or the nature of their work.

From his admission in the SS division in 1940 and until 1942, Gröning occupied an administrative position, toiling with figures and invoices, far away from the war’s tumult.

In 1942, the man and several other candidates received departure orders from the SS, citing that desk jobs are to be henceforth, the ‘privilege’ of veterans crippled in combat.

Auschwitz’s SS Barracks Had a Lukewarm Demeanor

Following his arrival at the infamous Nazi death camp, Gröning noted in his journal that the SS barracks had a homey demeanor – the guards and officers were friendly, and the barracks was well stocked with food and other necessary provisions.

Given his background in bank clerking, the man was hand-picked by the commander to serve as the camp’s bookkeeper. Gröning’s main task was to keep a record of every possession each prisoner had on them upon registering in the Nazi regime’s death machine.

In his journal, the now Bookkeeper of Auschwitz wrote that he had to sort, catalog, file, and store everything from currency to personal items the guards would retrieve from the prisoner’s pockets

Although Gröning had first treated his Auschwitz duty with the same diligence and detachment as he would in Germany, he started suspecting that something sinister might be afoot given the volume of personal items he needed to process.

His confirmation came a few days later when an SS guard entered the barracks and shouted that a transport is on its way. After this brief episode, Gröning had a staggering revelation about the true purpose of this SS-curated establishment – utter and indiscriminate extermination of all members of sub-races.

Gröning’s Journal Reveals Sordid Details About Auschwitz Extermination Methods

Before Gröning solicited a transfer to the front lines in 1944, he was to bear witness to the machinations of the regime who fervently believed in maniacal ideals such as race purity.

One of his entries pertaining to the atrocities committed by guards read:

…a baby crying. The child was lying on the ramp, wrapped in rags. A mother had left it behind, perhaps because she knew that women with infants were sent to the gas chambers immediately. I saw another SS soldier grab the baby by the legs. The crying had bothered him. He smashed the baby’s head against the iron side of a truck until it was silent.

Towards the end of 1942, the Bookkeeper of Auschwitz will again be confronted with the horrors of the extermination camp. Gröning noted that one night, him and the guards he shared the barracks with, were awakened by the sound of a loud alarm.

Seconds later, a soldier barged into the barracks and told them that some Jewish prisoners have escaped and that they should arm themselves before leaving. After scouting the woods on the outskirts of Birkenau, Gröning and his comrades, stumbled upon a deserted farmhouse, illuminated only by flares and stoked fires.

In front of it, seven to eight bodies were lined up. An officer would inform them that the prisoners were caught and executed on sight. Later that night, Gröning will bear witnesses to an SS guard throwing a Zyklon B canister inside a cottage, where several Jewish prisoners were kept.

His only recollection of the event was a low-key hum coming from inside the cottage that rapidly turned into blood-curling shrieks after the guard threw in the gas canister.

Conclusion

After being wounded in the Ardennes offensive, captured by the Allies, and imprisoned in an old concentration camp, the Bookkeeper of Auschwitz would be released and reunited with his wife.

In 2015, he was to be held accountable for the death of over 300,000 prisoners during his brisk tenure at the Nazi concentration camp despite his claims of not taking part in the extermination process.

Ex- Connecticut Student Who Smeared Bodily Fluids on Roommate’s Belongings Eligible for Rehabilitation

March 13, 2018 By Adam Martin Leave a Comment

Connecticut Student Released

The former Connecticut student must complete 200 hours of community service and 2 years of probation as part of court deal.

On Monday, a Hartford judge declared 18-year-old Brianna Brochu eligible for the accelerated rehabilitation program. Upon completion, the former Connecticut University student’s criminal record will be expunged. The teen was accused last year of smearing bodily fluids on her former roommate’s belongings after the woman posted a video on Facebook of Brochu snoring.

Connecticut Student Accused of Committing a Hate Crime

A year before, Brianna Brochu, then a Connecticut University student, was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor after Chennel Rowe, Brochu’s former roommate, told the authorities that the woman bragged about smearing her belonging bloody tampons.

According to the woman’s arrest warrant, the ex-Connecticut student had a fallout with Rowe, after the latter posted a video on Facebook in which she made fun of Brochu’s snoring. In retaliation, Brochu filmed herself which rubbing bloody tampons on Rowe’s backpack and inserting her roommate’s toothbrush into her anus.

Furthermore, the former Connecticut student admitted to putting foul clam dip into Rowe’s body lotions, spitting in the coconut oil she was using. And to topple it all off, Brochu also told her roommate that she licked her tableware.

On Monday, the court decided to grant Brochu her request for accelerated habilitation. Since Brochu’s deed was listed as a misdemeanor, her court record could be wiped clean if she completes 200 hours of community service and two years of probation.

Conclusion

Although several civil rights advocates opposed the judge’s decision, demanding as the teen be trialed for a hate crime, Gail Hardy, the Hartford State Attorney who presided over Brochu’s trial, declared that revenge was the common denominator and that there are no indications that Brochu’s deeds might have been fueled by race.

Following the ruling, Brochu conveyed her apologies to Rowe via her lawyer.

Florida Woman Shot Dog Over Domestic Argument

A Florida woman allegedly shot her fiance’s dog because the man refused to crack her back.

The Florida authorities reported that a 27-year-old woman was recently arrested and charged with aggravated animal abuse. According to the arrest warrant, following an argument with her fiancé, the Florida woman allegedly grabbed a handgun and shot the man’s two-year-old boxer. The woman was later arrested by the authorities.

Florida Woman Admits Getting Angry After Fiancé Refused to Crack Her Back

On Friday, 27-year-old Giselle Taylor was taken into custody, following an event which occurred at her fiancé’s house. The Florida woman told the authorities that she felt fatigued that day and asked her fiancé to crack her back.

Allegedly, the man refused to comply, which angered the woman. Following a heated argument, the woman left the house and went into the garage from where she retrieved a handgun from the weapon’s locker.

At first, the Florida woman pointed the gun towards her fiancé and threatened to pull the trigger if he refused to crack her back. According to the authorities, the man was not swayed by the woman’s threats and told her to put down the weapon.

Realizing that she could not impress her fiancé, Taylor pointed the gun towards the man’s two-year-old boxer and shot him once in the upper left torso. Regrettably, the dog passed away at the vet’s office due to his extensive injuries.

US Man Snaps Off and Steals Finger of 2000-Year-Old Terracotta Warrior

February 20, 2018 By Adam Martin Leave a Comment

Terracotta Warrior Army

An US partygoer has been taken in custody after authorities discovered that he stole the finger of a terracotta warrior.

The Chinese authorities are requesting that the author of the recent vandalization act of a 200-year-old terracotta warrior statue be severely reprimanded. According to the allegations, back in December, while attending an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party, a man entered the Chinese Terracotta army exhibition, snapped one of the statue’s fingers and slipped it in his pocket.

US Man Allegedly Wanted the Terracotta Warrior Finger as Keepsake

According to the investigation spearheaded by the FBI, last year, during the Ugly Sweater Party hosted by the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, 24-year-old Michael Rohana, a US partygoer, somehow managed to slip off during the party and break into the museum’s terracotta soldier exhibition.

As part of a cultural exchange program, the Chinese government lent ten terracotta soldiers to the Philadelphia Institute. While in the room with the exhibition, Rohana allegedly took out his phone and snapped a selfie of him and one of the terracotta soldiers.

The man left the room, but not before snapping off one of the statues’ fingers, which he then placed in his coat’s pocket. The 2000-year-old statue’ worth has been estimated at $4.5 million.

Still, the theft went unnoticed for a couple of weeks. The Franklin’s institutes employees notified the authorities who, in turn, analyzed the security tapes. Their searches led them to Rohana’s apartment.

According to the authorities, the man kept the statue’s finger inside a drawer and claimed that he only wanted a souvenir. For his deed, the 24-year-old was charged with concealment of major artwork and theft.

Conclusion

Although the man is currently booked into county jail, the Chinese authorities are demanding compensation for the damage and asked that the perpetrator be severely punished for his deed. Following the incident, the Chinese government might review its policy of lending works of art for unlocked displays.

Did Ancient Fish Start Walking Before Even Leaving the Ocean? (Study)

February 12, 2018 By Adam Martin Leave a Comment

little skate at the bottom of the ocean

Allegedly, ancient fish started walking even before leaving Earth’s oceans.

COUNCIL CHRONICLE – According to new findings published in the scientific journal Cell, the ancient fish ancestors of modern-day terrestrial creatures may have learned to walk even before they left the ocean.

Ancient Fish Seemingly Able to Walk Underwater

Based on evidence from a recent study conducted by New York University researchers, scientists are now looking into when exactly terrestrial beings first learned to move using limbs on land.

A team of specialists ran experiments targeting modern day fish that move along the ocean floor, for example, the little skate. They also studied four-legged creatures like mice.

What they found was that the neural circuits involved with the left and right motion of the fish as well as the leg movements of the mice were the same.

Given the statistical improbability of two of the same biological structures evolving on these different creatures, this leads to a new assumption. One that claims that a common ancestor between land dwellers and sea walkers (such as the Tiktaalik fossil) somehow evolved the necessary functions for walking even before it left for land.

The experiments carried out were explicitly targeted at taking a look at each animal’s RNA sequencing patterns. Examining genes like Foxp1, the team found the genetic structure used by both for seafloor movement and walking was almost identical.

This would seem to confirm their theories about common ancestors given that the modern offshoots of each are still quite similar where it counts. The first instances of this gene were found nearly 420 million years ago.

This new research is instrumental in uncovering more about the origins of our species as well as others on the planet. Despite how extensive fossil records may be, they only hold so much information.

Through experimentation such as this, it becomes possible to learn even more about how land dwellers came to be and about how things might turn out as evolution continues on its course.
