New Jersey Cops Reprimanded for Harassing Co-Workers with Huge Sex Toy

New Jersey cops placed genital in co-workers’ food and drinks.

COUNCIL CHRONICLE – Two New Jersey cops were recently placed on administrative leave after several Mountainside Police Department lawsuit filed a harassment lawsuit. According to the document, the two police officers are accused of using a huge sex toy to pull pranks on their co-workers.

New Jersey Cops Flashed Genital in Front of Unaware Colleagues

Last week, the otherwise quite Mountainside Police Department was rocked by a scandal, after five employees filed a lawsuit against two of their colleagues.

The document suggests that the five employees, identified as Richard Latargia, Thomas Norton, Christopher Feighner, James Urban, Amy Colineri, and Jeffrey Stinner, have been harassed between 2007 and 2008 by Officers Andrew Huber and Thomas Murphy.

Allegedly, in 2007, one of the officers brought a sex toy to the police station, which they’ve named ‘Big Blue.’

Over the years, Murphy and Huber used the oversized sex toy to pull pranks on their co-workers. These ‘pranks’ involved slapping people across the face with the dildo which, apparently, was covered in an icky substance.

However, this is only the tip of the iceberg, as the lawsuit reveals. Even after disposing of ‘Big Blue,’ Murphy and Huber continued tormenting their co-worker by tickling them or flashing their genitals when they weren’t paying attention.

One of the most popular pranks was inserting their genitals into drinking containers or food and then taking pictures.

A former dispatcher declared that Huber once placed the sex toy in front of her nose and asked if she could identify the smell.

Conclusion

Although the lawsuit states that these harassments went on and off between 2007 and 2008, some of the victims claim that Murphy and Huber were pulling pranks long before ‘Big Blue’ was brought to the Mountainside police station.

Following the lawsuit, the New Jersey cops were placed on administrative leave.

According to court documents, the Georgia woman would take their daughters to various men where they were sexually abused in exchange for drugs and sometimes money.

The prosecution cited one similar case involving Summerlin dropping her two daughters at a 78-year-old man, later identified as Richard “Pop” Office. Upon arriving at the man’s home, Pop offered Summerlin drugs and retired to his bedroom with her daughters.

While the Georgia woman was lying on Pop’s couch, the man forced on her daughters to rub his feet while he molested her sister. A similar incident took place a week apart but this time at the house of one Alfredo Trejo. Authorities refused to disclose details about the encounter with Trejo but did point out that there were similarities to the Pop encounter.

Conclusion

Prior to Summerlin’s court appearance, Pop was sentenced to life in prison without parole and Trejo to 25 years behind bars.

Summerlin’s mother was also found guilty on charges of child endangerment for refusing to help her granddaughters.

COUNCIL CHRONICLE – North Carolina authorities recently arrested a 91-year-old man who attempted to kill his wife over money. Based on the police report, the nonagenarian fired several shots towards his fleeing wife and held one police officer at gunpoint before he was taken into custody.

North Carolina Nonagenarian Confronted About Money Missing from Safe

On the 23rd of April, the Benson County police officers were summoned to James Nordan’s house after a woman, later identified as the man’s 83-year-old wife, told the 911 operator that her husband lost his temper and tried to kill her with a revolver.

The authorities discovered the assailant standing in front of his house, still clutching his .38 caliber revolver. When confronted with the domestic incident, the North Carolina nonagenarian initially declared that the weapon went off by accident.

After examining the house and interviewing the victim, the investigators discovered that the man gave a false statement. According to the police report, several bullet holes were found in the living room’s ceiling, the mantle, and even the refrigerator.

The victim told the investigators that she had an argument with her husband about a sum missing from Nordan’s safe. More than that, the victim tried to tell James that it was he who removed the money from the safe the day before the shooting.

Convinced that the woman was lying, the nonagenarian retrieved his gun and went after his wife. Seeing her husband armed, the woman fled to a neighbor’s house. She recalls hearing several gunshots while running away.

When the authorities confronted Nordan regarding his false statement, the man allegedly loaded his revolver and pointed it towards the officers. Following a standoff that lasted a couple of minutes, the North Carolina nonagenarian put his revolver away after he saw one of the police officers reaching for his service weapon.

The man was taken into custody and charged with assault with a deadly firearm with the intent to commit murder.

New Delhi Surgeon Reprimanded After Operating on the Wrong Patient

New Delhi Surgeon Suspended.

A New Delhi surgeon was suspended after operating on the wrong patient.

COUNCIL CHRONICLE – A New Delhi surgeon was recently barred from performing surgeries unassisted after he operated on the wrong patient. According to the allegations, the surgeon inserted a pin in the patient’s leg despite the man being admitted to the hospital with head and face trauma. Victim’s family said the man is unable to walk after surgery.

New Delhi Surgeon Bungle Discovered Hours After Operation

Last week, a Sushruta Trauma Center spokesperson confirmed that a surgeon had been barred from performing operations unassisted after he operated on the wrong patient.

Vijendra Tyagi was admitted to the Trauma Center with head and face trauma. The man was wheeled into the OR where the unnamed surgeon, mistaking him for Virendra, another recently admitted patient, inserted a metal pin in his leg.

The OR error was spotted by Ankit Tyagi, Vijendra’s son, who notified the hospital’s board. Unfortunately, the man’s son discovered the surgeon’s bungle hours after the operation.

Dr. Bahl, the hospital’s superintendent, declared that the establishment’s board verified Tyagi’s claims and discovered that the New Delhi surgeon indeed committed a faux pas. As a result, the specialist can no longer enter an OR not perform surgery unsupervised, decision effective immediately.

As for Vijendra, he’s still being kept in the hospital’s intensive care unit. Despite Vijendra’s family refusing to file a malpractice lawsuit against the New Dehli surgeon, Ankit declared that his father is unable to walk and has on-and-off headaches and chest pains.

Regrettably, this isn’t the first mistake performed by one of the hospital’s staff members. A couple of years ago, a patient who was admitted with a fractured right foot received surgical treatment for the wrong limb.

Conclusion

Similarly, a patient with no kidney disease received an unnecessary and invasive vascular surgery to treat said condition.

The hospital’s superintendent said that the patient with the leg trauma has been treated and is now the hospital’s ICU.

COUNCIL CHRONICLE – The Florida authorities recently arrested a 21-year-old janitor who allegedly stole four hard drives said to contain taxpayer information. When confronted by the authorities, the Florida janitor claimed that he merely wanted the hard drives to download Xbox games.

Florida Janitor Had No Idea of What Was on the Hard Drives

On Tuesday, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement announced that the four hard drives which went missing at the beginning of March had been retrieved. In addition, the preliminary investigation revealed that the data on the four hard drives were neither shared nor accessed.

Based on the police report, 21-tear-old Andru Rae’sion, a cleaning company employee, was finishing his job cleaning a Florida Department of Revenue office when he stumbled upon the electronic devices. Without fearing the consequences, Rae’sion pocketed the hard drives and went straight home.

After reviewing the security footages and analyzing various clues found at the crime scenes, the Florida authorities interviewed Rae’sion. The man first claimed that he never saw or head anything about the devices.

Maine Jazz Musician Indicted in Bludgeoning Deaths of Mother, Grandparents, and Health Aide

Maine Jazz Musician in Court

The Maine jazz musician called a teacher before killing his grandparents, mother, and health aide.

COUNCIL CHRONICLE – On Wednesday, 23-year-old Orion Krause, a Maine jazz musician, pleaded not guilty before a Massachusetts court for the bludgeoning deaths of his grandparents, their health aide, and his mother. Various news outlets reported that the suspect showed no sign of distress when the prosecution offered details about his grandparents’ death but appeared to be affected when his mother’s name came up.

Maine Jazz Musician Showed Up Naked and Dirty at Neighbor’s House

Orion Krause, a jazz musician and Oberlin Conservatory of Music graduate, is accused of using a baseball bat to kill 60-year-old Elizabeth Krause, his mother, Frank Danby Lackey III (89) and Elizabeth Lackey (85), his grandparents and another 68-year-old woman, later identified by the authorities as Bertha Mae Parker, his grandparents’ health aide.

The court documents reveal that the incident, which occurred on the 8th of September 2017, might have been triggered by Krause’s alleged mental condition. Prosecution also proves that before committing the atrocious act, Krause reportedly called one of his teachers and told him that he needs to kill all the people he’s living with.

Based on the suspect’s testimony, on that night, the Maine jazz musician lured the family to the nearby woods, where he used a baseball bat to beat them to death.

Wagner Alcocer, Krause’s neighbor, was at home when he heard a knock on the door. When he opened it, Alcocer saw Krause naked, covered in what appeared to be dirt, and blood on his hands. At first, the man slammed the door but later decided to come out and talk to the visibly disorientate man.

Krause told him that he had killed four people. Alcocer called the authorities who took Krause into custody. The bodies were found later that day. Krause’s grandparents’ bodies were placed on chairs in the kitchen, while his mother’s body was found in a flowerbed outside the house.

A Noisy Workplace Can Seemingly Lead to Health Problems (Study)

April 10, 2018 By Adam Martin Leave a Comment

workplace with desks and computers and plants and one man working

A noisy workplace could come with health problems, claims a new study.

COUNCIL CHRONICLE – Many, different potential health problems that can develop in the workplace. Now, a study recently conducted by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, one of the CDC’s divisions, goes to point out some of them.

The study found that there may be a link between a noisy workplace and high cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and hearing problems.

Impacts of a Noisy Workplace

According to the study co-author, hearing loss is a direct negative health impact that can be tied to a noisy workplace. On estimate, almost 22 million Americans are exposed to loud noises at their workplace.

According to the study, it is believed that roughly 5 million cases of hearing impairment could be prevented among those being exposed to high levels of noise.

The study consisted of over 22,000 participants. Around 12% among them were reported to have hearing loss. The research identified potential factors such as family history and personal habits that might impact each person health.

After doing so, the researchers found that nearly 58% of hearing loss, 14% of high blood pressure, and 9% of high cholesterol cases were likely due to exposure to occupational noise.

As it can be easily seen, the occupational noise had the most significant impact on a person’s hearing. It is important to note that the researchers found a correlation, not causation. Correlation means that there is a link between these items, but the actual cause can’t necessarily be determined yet.

The study also points out that although a noisy workplace comes with potential risks for the health, it is nonetheless not recommending a perfectly quiet workspace either.

Loud noise can happen in many types of workplaces. Noise is considered loud (hazardous) when it reaches 85 decibels or higher, or if a person has to raise his/her voice to speak with someone 3 feet away (arm’s length).

— CDC (@CDCgov) April 3, 2018

Also, noise pollution can be reduced by simply turning down the volume, or by wearing earplugs or headphones, among others.

Conclusion:

High levels of occupational noise can have many impacts on the human body. Many times it is thought that noise will only impact hearing, but new studies are beginning to identify other adverse effects of occupational noise as well.

Study findings are available in a paper released in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine.

Maryland Mother is Custody for Trying to Saw Off Autistic Son’s Head

Maryland Mother Arrested for Assaulting Autistic Boy

The Maryland mother used a similar saw while trying to decapitate her autistic son.

The Maryland authorities recently arrested a 46-year-old woman and charged her with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and first-degree child abuse. According to the woman’s arrest warrant, the Maryland mother attempted to saw off her son’s head because she was overwhelmed by his autism diagnosis.

Maryland Mother Claimed It’s Not the First Time She Tried to Kill Her Children

Last week, Kristina Petrie, a 46-year-old Maryland mother was indicted on charges stemming from an incident which allegedly occurred on the 11th of March at her house.

According to the authorities, on that day, Petrie was at home with her husband, waiting for her son to come home from school. The boy arrived sometime in the afternoon and told his parents that he’s going up to his room to play video games.

Petrie, who authorities noted that she was on ‘edge’ ever since her son was diagnosed with autism, calmly went to another area of the house from where she retrieved a saw and went to check up on her son.

According to the boy’s claims, his mother asked him why he’s not doing his homework. When she got no reply, she simply grabbed the child, threw him on the floor, and placed the saw’s blade on his neck.

The authorities noted that the woman managed to move the blade several times before the child escaped her grip. Detectives called the boy’s escape an ‘outstanding feat’ considering that his half-crazed mother weighs 175 pounds and is 5-foot-6.

Conclusion

The child went downstairs and told his father about the incident who immediately called the authorities. Several days later, the man had the Maryland mother committed to the MedStar Montgomery Medical Center for psychiatric assessment.

According to the doctors, the woman confessed that she felt ‘a bit under the weather’ ever since the medics told her that her son has autism. More than that, the woman feared that her son might make her life a burden and that’s the reason why she decided to take this course of action.

NIH Will Examine Ethical Problems of One of Their Studies

March 27, 2018 By Adam Martin Leave a Comment

ethics in dictionary highlighted

The National Institutes of Health will examine one of their studies to see if there were some ethical problems. This study was related to the health effects of a daily glass of wine. The director of the NIH’s mentioned that he has already assigned advisers to see if one of the researchers made a mistake or modified the data.

Researchers Could Be in Cahoots with the Liquor Industry

This research was funded by the liquor industry and that is why some are suspicious about the results. An article from the New York Times was the one that lead to the investigation. In the article, it’s said that some scientists asked the liquor industry to pay for the research in order for the study to shows that there are health benefits from drinking every day.

This story also showed that the researchers presented their ideas in different meetings where the beverage-industry directors were participants. It is believed that this happened between 2013 and 2014. One of the scientists mentioned that the research couldn’t be done without funds from the beverage industry.

The director of the NIH, Francis Collins, mentioned that the study is important because it shows the effects of moderate drinking. Despite this fact, the study might have some ethical problems. The director also mentioned that the only problem with the study is the funding, not the results.

This research is still at the beginning. At this phase of the study, researchers are enrolling approximately 7,000 people and dividing them into 2 groups. One group needs to refrain from drinking and the other group can only drink one glass of wine. They want to show the cardiovascular consequences of moderate drinking.

The director of NIH mentioned that they are going to investigate more about who funded the study and if there are any ethical problems. Some believe that the allegations are made to discredit the study. Now, we’ll have to wait and see the results of the investigation.
