It is getting hotter with every month. According to NASA, August 2016 was the hottest month since they began to keep the record, in 1880. Researchers said that this month was 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit (0.98 degrees Celsius) hotter than how the average temperature should have been. The biggest issue is that July was also the warmest month ever recorded.
Things seem to be worse with every month. The space agency said that this the 11th month in which the average temperature is breaking a record. Moreover, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration made its own study. They said that August 2016 was the 16th month when the temperature was higher than ever.
No matter how we see the problem, it is certain that 2016 was the hottest year humanity recorded. Researchers are expecting temperatures to rise, so there will be no surprise if 2017 will be even hotter. There are still people who do not think that global warming is a threat. However,it should be enough to go outside and see that it is warmer than what we were used to in the last few years.
Many people are not aware of the danger because it has not affected them. Of course, climate change makes Alaskan to move their villages and the ice is melting as we speak. Unfortunately, many just want to live the moment, without thinking what will happen with their children. If we pay more attention, we could see that global warming is already a big threat for us. The sea level is rising, which means that the flood is stronger. There were areas devastated by the flood during last month. Moreover, researchers think that, in the future, big cities of the United States will be underwater due to climate change.
Those who have houses near the sea are already thinking about selling them because it will be too dangerous to live there. Do not forget that hurricane are also influenced by temperature. There will be bigger storms, more dangerous for us than ever. People should start talking about how to improve the situation because the damage has already been done. If we wanted to prevent climate change, we should have done it years ago.
If the temperatures will rise, imagine what will happen in the future. August 2016 was the hottest month ever recorded and 2017 seems to be more dangerous than this.
