A transgender man has just given birth to a healthy baby boy
A transgender man from Portland, Oregon, gave birth to a healthy baby boy, and is now full of joy to be able to hold his son. Since July 14th, when the boy was born, the man and his partner have been the happiest people. They declared they couldn’t wait to be parents.
The man did not undergo a full transformation
Trystan Reese, aged 34, never underwent a surgical sex change. Instead, he was happy to only follow a hormone treatment. This allowed him and his husband, Biff Chaplow, the chance to have their own baby. When they took this decision, Reese stopped taking testosterone and was able to get pregnant and give birth to Leo.
However, the couple already has children, although none of them has been born by Reese. Riley, 9, and Hailey, 7, are Chaplow’s sister’s kids, and the two men decided to adopt them when she was no longer able to care for them.
The two children are quite excited to have a baby brother. Hailey is serious about the role of big sister, and has already started holding Leo in her arms and wanting to change his diaper. Riley is a bit hesitant, but his parents are sure he will love his brother even more when he gets a little older.
Not all messages they received were positive
Both dads are really active on social media, and have presented many aspects of their life. However, they decided to keep some details for themselves. So far, they have received many messages of encouragement, but not all feedback was positive, since not everybody understands the transgender community. This is why they decided to delete all negative comments, especially those which might become harmful for the baby when he grows up.
Both dads feel blessed to have their own baby and to hold little Leo in their arms. They promise him a happy life together with his siblings, and all the love and support he can get.
