With Facebook and Twitter integration, the Pizza Hut Chatbots will remember your favorite order.
Starting August, Pizza Hut is going to make ordering even more accessible. The company will be bringing Pizza Hut Chatbots for both Facebook Messenger and Twitter.
Not Such A Cheesy Idea
In the past weeks, the media has been buzzing about chatbots. Facebook brought additional development tools for their chatbots. Skype also brought developer enhancements to their bot platform. Yes, the future of online interaction is going to the bots. However, if that means the world can more comfortably order their pizza, is that so bad?
The company stated that they want their Pizza Hut Chatbots to be accessible and to allow consumers to quickly order or get information.
While it is true that Pizza Hut Chatbots are a novel idea, if users have to do much typing, or if the bots will not understand abbreviated or misspelled words, then the process might prove to be too much of a drag. Time will tell.
Friending Pizza Hut Chatbots
Nevertheless, to call upon the services of the ever-friendly Pizza Hut Chatbots, users will have to add Pizza Hut as a friend on Facebook, or respectively Twitter. Logging in with Facebook or Twitter on the Pizza Hut will also allow users to make, set, and save favorites. This latter step, however useful, is optional.
After friending the account, users can just start up a conversation with the Pizza Hut Chatbots on Facebook or Facebook Messenger, or via Twitter Direct Message. Conversation options will include ordering, as well as getting information on any applicable promotions or deals. The chatbots will also have information such as nutritional information or business hours on hand.
After users complete their order, they will also receive an e-mail with the order details, the order receipt, as well as a copy of the chat log
Pizza Hut said that the company wants to stay up-to-date with trends in technology and social media. The Pizza Hut chatbots seem to fit the role nicely, especially considering that other fast food brands already have similar bots in play.
Domino users, for example, can order pizzas using Twitter emojis.
The Pizza Hut Chatbots are coming soon, in August, and they advertise a comfortable conversational ordering experience. What pizza, if any, do you intend on ordering from the chatbots?
