Pizza Hut Chatbots Arriving To Facebook And Twitter

July 15, 2016 By Adam Martin Leave a Comment

Pizza Hut Chatbots make ordering more accessible

With Facebook and Twitter integration, the Pizza Hut Chatbots will remember your favorite order.

Starting August, Pizza Hut is going to make ordering even more accessible. The company will be bringing Pizza Hut Chatbots for both Facebook Messenger and Twitter.

Not Such A Cheesy Idea

In the past weeks, the media has been buzzing about chatbots. Facebook brought additional development tools for their chatbots. Skype also brought developer enhancements to their bot platform. Yes, the future of online interaction is going to the bots. However, if that means the world can more comfortably order their pizza, is that so bad?

The company stated that they want their Pizza Hut Chatbots to be accessible and to allow consumers to quickly order or get information.

While it is true that Pizza Hut Chatbots are a novel idea, if users have to do much typing, or if the bots will not understand abbreviated or misspelled words, then the process might prove to be too much of a drag. Time will tell.

Friending Pizza Hut Chatbots

Nevertheless, to call upon the services of the ever-friendly Pizza Hut Chatbots, users will have to add Pizza Hut as a friend on Facebook, or respectively Twitter. Logging in with Facebook or Twitter on the Pizza Hut will also allow users to make, set, and save favorites. This latter step, however useful, is optional.

After friending the account, users can just start up a conversation with the Pizza Hut Chatbots on Facebook or Facebook Messenger, or via Twitter Direct Message. Conversation options will include ordering, as well as getting information on any applicable promotions or deals. The chatbots will also have information such as nutritional information or business hours on hand.

After users complete their order, they will also receive an e-mail with the order details, the order receipt, as well as a copy of the chat log

Pizza Hut said that the company wants to stay up-to-date with trends in technology and social media. The Pizza Hut chatbots seem to fit the role nicely, especially considering that other fast food brands already have similar bots in play.

Domino users, for example, can order pizzas using Twitter emojis.

The Pizza Hut Chatbots are coming soon, in August, and they advertise a comfortable conversational ordering experience. What pizza, if any, do you intend on ordering from the chatbots?

Internet Outrage After Millions of Twitter Users got Hacked

June 9, 2016 By Jesse Skelton Leave a Comment

The Twitter Logo, Ready to send the user to the homepage.

The majority of Twitter Users got hacked due to their high-risk, low-security passwords.

Twitter is one of the most popular social media services. It is so popular that in 2016’s first quarter, Twitter reported more than 310 million monthly active users. As of now, it has been reported that more than 32 million of Twitter users got hacked.

As a social media service, Twitter users often install the app on at least one of their devices and even pair or connect the app to several other services or app for greater ease of access or ease of communication. Since its launch date of July 15, 2006 Twitter has tried time and time again to guarantee the safety and trust of its users.

LeakedSource, unaffiliated in any direct way with Twitter, is a website in the business of helping out average users know if they ever got hacked. LeakedSource finds and collects all of the hacked or stolen account credentials that they can find and then adds them to a data base which can be browsed and searched by registered users.

In a recent blog post LeakedSource, stated that they have have added 32,888,300 new Twitter accounts to their database. In order to clear the air and stop the angry mob from pinning the guilt on the wrong party, LeakedSource did say that although Twitter Users got hacked, the integrity of Twitter’s security wasn’t compromised.

Each or the leaked accounts has been reported to contain any one and/or all of the following: a Username, a visible password, a primary e-mail address, a secondary e-mail address.

LeakedSource belives that the guilty party is an overwhelming malware attack which somehow managed to avoid detection and quickly spread among the ranks of users. As such, both Twitter and LeakedSource are currently urging users to change their passwords.

Due to the intelligence of most hackers and their virtual constructs, it is recommended that users have individual passwords for each of their accounts. A strong and effective password should have at least one capitalized character, at least one number, and at least one special character. To be avoided are words such as first names, last names, spouse, child, or pet names, known nicknames, birthdays, the service the password is for.

A Twitter spokesperson said that even though Twitter Users got hacked, the micro-blogging social media service is confident that whatever information was obtained, it was not from a Twitter data-breach.

Twitter Gets Sued By Florida Widow over Its Lax Policies on Terrorism

January 15, 2016 By Adam Martin Leave a Comment

'Twitter'

A woman from Florida filed a complaint against Twitter, accusing the company of supporting international terrorism which has led to her husband’s death.

According to a report released Thursday, Twitter gets sued by Florida widow over its lax policies on terrorism which reportedly led to the death of the woman’s husband. The social media company is now accused that it has condoned ISIS propaganda on its platform.

Tamara Fields said that her husband was killed by an IS militant extremist during an attack staged against police trainees in Amman, in Jordan. She is upset that Twitter allowed the extremist group spread hate propaganda and raise cash for the attack.

Law experts believe that Ms. Fields should get prepared for a lengthy battle, although her case could be solved soon if other plaintiffs decide to sue Twitter and Facebook for allowing ISIS spread their hate message and find new recruits across the platforms.

Ms. Fields filed the suit against Twitter with Oakland, Calif. court claiming that the microblogging site allowed ISIS members to sign up for and access Twitter accounts. The woman wrote in her complaint that Twitter’s lax policy on terrorism fueled ISIS’s ‘explosive growth’ in recent years.

The widow also said that Twitter was one of the factorswhich helped the group that killed her husband morph into the ‘most-feared terrorist group’ on the planet. As a result, the woman seeks triple damages from the company and accountability that it has infringed the Anti-Terrorism Act by providing extremists a platform to express themselves.

The woman’s attorney said that it must be the first trial to accuse the tech company of violating that piece of federal legislation.

In response, Twitter said that the suit was without merit, but expressed sadness over the woman’s ‘terrible loss.’ The site added that threats and terrorist propaganda are not allowed on Twitter.

In the meantime, Obama administration named a task force to seek and eliminate instances involving terrorists that use online platforms to reach their goals. Last week, Silicon Valley companies met with defense officials to seek new ways to counterattack extremist groups.

Jimmy Gurule, a law expert at the University of Notre Dame who worked with the U.S. Treasury to detect money that go to terrorist groups, noted that online platforms eased the access of Islamist militants to international recruits that are ready to die for their cause.

The woman’s husband was killed by a Jordanian police officer who served the state for more than a decade before committing the attack. And. Ms. Fields believes that Twitter is to blame because it allowed the group to stay online despite previous warnings from Congress and the White House.

Twitter Brought Users Twitter Polls

Since Wednesday, Twitter brought users Twitter Polls, a new native polling feature already reported with some accounts.

Since Wednesday, Twitter brought users Twitter Polls, a new native polling feature already reported with some accounts.

Harnessing commitment from users has never been easier. If you’re a Twitter user and want to know the opinion of your peers on the latest football match, the performance of this or that actor, settle disputes on the approved color palette of this autumn’s fashion, then Twitter Polls is perfect.

The feature will be supported on iOS, Android and desktop, with the roll-out already begun. Check whether Twitter Polls has already been added to your application of choice in the compose box.

Composing a poll on the topic of your desire thus becomes easy. While it can only support two answer versions, it is still useful in settling some debates.

Each poll is only open for 24 hours and should harness quite some interest from other users. In the future, depending on how Twitter Polls fares now, the time length could be changed. For now, a 24-hour timeframe should be sufficient to tell you whether people prefer cheese over wine or Batman over Superman.

Compared to other voting procedure introduced by Twitter in the past, Twitter polls simplifies the process. Voting results are automatically calculated. At the end of the voting timeframe, the poll closes and all participants will be announced of the results via push notifications.

Twitter brought users Twitter Polls, a new native polling feature that allows better embedding of polls in tweets directly. This means bypassing the hashtag voting or other features introduced in the past.

While last month a number of users already benefited from a version of Twitter polls, it turns out the majority of accounts were celebrities or Twitter employees. Which makes sense, considering that they can harness an impressing cohort of followers that are useful in testing a new feature.

However, Twitter polls is now an option for everyone.

New Jeb Bush Staff Cites Inflammatory Comments on Twitter

February 11, 2015 By Melanie Quintal

New Jeb Bush Staff Cites Inflammatory Comments on TwitterThe political action committee of previous Florida Governor Jeb Bush has drawn the anger of Democrats after a new staffer’s history of inflammatory comments on Twitter. The co-founder of Hipster.com, now the Right to Rise PAC’s chief technology officer, Ethan Czahor made a series of offensive remarks from 2009 to 2011, while the governor believes the remarks were inappropriate.

Bush’s spokeswoman said the comments were deleted after their request, although they still consider Czahor as a great talent and an asset to the PAC’s board. Meanwhile, Democrats were angry on the tweets, criticizing Czahor’s recent hiring. Additionally, a Democratic National Committee’s spokeswoman said the new leader of the digital outreach of Jeb’s team only means unpreparedness for prime time.
