Researchers from England’s Imperial College London conducted a study, involving the link between coffee and women, although the study did not differentiate the higher benefits between regular and decaffeinated coffee. Nonetheless, the findings revealed that drinking 4 cups of coffee a day helps in reducing women’s risk of having endometrial cancer, the cancer of the endometrium, which is the lining of the uterus.
The researchers said it was not a cause-and-effect link between the lower risk of the cancer and coffee drinking, and could not pinpoint the definite reason behind the coffee’s ability to lower the risk of cancer. Melissa Merritt, leader of the study, said the results were not surprising as the findings were consistent with previous studies, and the study was conducted to compare results across other studies.
