Florida Woman was Not the Intended Target of Love Triangle
According to Russ Gibson, the Osceola County Sheriff, the events leading to the arrest of three murder suspect started to unfold after the authorities discovered the body of 42-year-old Janice Marie Zengotita-Torres just outside near the Ormond Beach on Wednesday.
On Friday, during a press conference, Sheriff Gibson declared that the culprits had been taken into custody and all of them admitted to the woman’s murder. The details of this case are as blood-chilling, as they are intricate.
Following a lover’s quarrel, 35-year-old Ishnar Lopez-Ramos ordered the murder of her rival, task which should have been carried out by 23-year-old Alexis Ramos-Rivera and his 22-year-old girlfriend, Glorianmarie Quinones-Montes.
Without prejudice, the murderous couple accepted their role in this sordid love triangle and proceeded to follow the woman whom they thought was Lopez-Ramos’s love rival.
Based on the perpetrators’ affidavits, the authorities managed to reconstruct the events leading to the woman’s death. After following Zengotita-Torres to her house, the couple abducted her and forced her at gunpoint to enter their car.
During their trip, the couple forced Zengotita-Torres to give them her ATM credentials, which they’ve later used to withdraw money from the woman’s account. What’s even more confounding is that the couple realized that Zengotita-Torres was not their target, but decided to proceed with the deed.
Ramos-Rivera bound the woman’s arms and legs using duct tape and placed a plastic bag over her head. Upon reaching the location, the man viciously assaulted his victim, leaving her unconscious. The woman later died of asphyxiation and of massive trauma.
The sordid love triangle ended after the authorities managed to track down Lopez-Ramos and her accomplices using the woman’s ATM credentials. All of them confessed and were charged with first-degree premeditated murder.
