GE Announced the New C Bulb Series for Smart Lighting
GE announced the new C bulb series for smart lighting, a great low-cost opportunity for everyone looking to integrate this solution in their homes.
Since the unveiling of Link Led in 2014 for only 15 dollars, GE has come a long way. Link LED was a big hit for low-cost smart lighting solutions. With the only slight inconvenient that one needed to link it to ZigBee radio via a control device to make the router receive the signals and transform them in the perfect light conditions for your home.
With the new C bulb series, this is about to change. The new C bulb series promises Bluetooth connectivity and is labeled ‘C by GE’. The four-bulb pack will come to consumers in the beginning of next year, at the modest price of 50 dollars.
If you’re thinking of investing in smart lighting solutions, C by GE is a great opportunity. Bluetooth connectivity makes the GE bulbs connect directly to your smartphone, removing the need for an external control hub.
GE announced the new C bulb series for smart lighting, with two C bulbs being advertised. First, there is C Life Led. The smart GE bulb offers the possibility to dim the light according to your needs, customizing the ambient of the room.
Though it’s not as spectacular as C Sleep LED. These bulbs are designed to adjust light hues according to a specific time of day. Depending on sunlight throughout the day, C Sleep LED will turn bright blue during early morning to ease the process of waking up and send appropriate signals to the brain.
Midday will be met with the mellow orange hue naturally filling our homes when the sun is out. During the evening, C Sleep LED is preset to turn to an even mellower tone of yellow, warm light. Designed to follow our natural circadian rhythm in sync with natural lighting conditions, C Sleep LED might ease passage to waking up, maintaining an active behavior throughout the day and falling asleep with the perfect smart indoor lighting.
The new C bulb series pack will contain two C Life LED bulbs and two C Sleep LED bulbs.
