Donut Eating Champion Had a Long Criminal Record
According to the authorities, Bradley Hardison, a 27-year-old North California resident and allegedly the author of a Dunkin’ Donut break-in which took place last November had many run-ins with the law.
Back in 2014, the donut buff participated in a donut eating contest and managed to win the first place in the competition after nailing down a couple of firefighters and police officers. The very next day, probably still high on the smell of victory, the man broke into two grocery stores and stole everything he could lay his glaze-covered hands on.
Hardison was later arrested and charged with breaking and entering. The man was sentenced to spend the next three years behind bars. He was released last October, almost a month before committing another crime that will land him back in jail.
According to the police report, on Thursday, under cover of night, the former donut eating champing broke into popular coffee shop Dunkin Donuts and emptied its safe. At this point, it’s unclear whether the man was aiming for the safe or if he’s bagged some donuts as well.
Hardison would be arrested for the second time by the North Carolina authorities, but this time the charges brought against him are more severe. The former donut eating champion is charged with breaking and entering, safecracking, and larceny. If proven guilty, he will spend the next years behind bars.
Ironically enough, the contents Hardison won by eating eight donuts under two minutes was sponsored and hosted by the North Carolina Police Department.
