Tech giant Chronos wants to turn a plain watch into a smartwatch.
In attempt to come up with a new time measurement concept, Chronos converts a watch into a Smartwatch.
It doesn’t come as a surprise when we hear that the Smartwatch industry is booming. Each day, more and more people choose to give up their old watches and switch to a Smartwatch. But, what happens when you want to keep you traditional watch but you also want to try out one of those shiny new gizmos?
It seems that Chronos has things figured up and are even planning ahead on how to deliver their brand new product on the market. Basically, using a Chronos device you will be able to augment the functionality of your common watch. So, what is Chronos and how can it be used?
Basically, Chronos is made of a tiny rubber disk that you can safely attach to the back of your watch. The capsule is very small, approximately 3 millimeters thick, so it will not add to the overall thickness of the watch. Although using Chronos won’t turn your common watch into a Smartwatch overnight, it certainly can do almost all the things a Smartwatch does.
Just attach that little device to the back end of your wrist watch and you can easily turn it into an effective fitness tracker. Not a sports aficionado? Not a problem! You are able to pair up Chronos with any smartphone in order to receive incoming alerts or messages. Thanks to the small LED backlight and vibrator motor you won’t miss any important notification on Facebook or email.
Chronos converts a watch into a Smartwatch in an attempt to give non-Smartwatch users a preview of what is like to wear one. Regarding its functionality, Chronos seems to be a very reliable tool when it comes to working with other electronic devices.
The concept also allows us, the would-be customer, to take a peek into the Company’s philosophy. Basically, what Chronos wants to achieve is a kind of blending between what we consider to be vetust, outdated and the new technological advances. It comes to show us, surprise us: how a little object, like the suction cup disk can help an antique modern integrate into our ever-changing world.
The game is afoot, as more and more people take into consideration of trying Chronos’s concept in order to familiarize themselves with the inner workings of a modern Smartwatch.
