Video Shows Calumet City Girl Kidnapped Right off the Street
FBI’s Chicago branch recently decided to make public the video of last year’s attempted kidnapping which took place in Calumet City, 30 miles off Chicago. The footage shows an individual pulling a red SUV near the sidewalk and stepping out of the vehicle as if he was waiting for someone.
At one point during the video, a girl can be seen passing Protho’s SUV, paying no attention to the driver who’s been observing her. The next section of the footage shows Protho grabbing the girl and forcing her to get inside his vehicle.
According to the man’s affidavit, Protho drove the girl a few blocks away, pulled her out of the vehicle and assaulted her in a back alley. Fortunately, the girl managed to escape her captor, flee from the back alley and seek refuge in the main street.
Once there, she managed to flag down a vehicle and told the driver about her ordeals. The passerby immediately called the authorities who transported the girl to the local hospital.
