COUNCIL CHRONICLE – Following the sentence in the Turpin case, California authorities have identified yet another example of child torture. At the end of March, Jonathan Allen, a 29-year-old California father, was arrested and charged after the authorities established that the man shackled his children and shot them with a pellet gun for “sadistic purposes.”
California Father Came from a Broken Home, Authorities Declared
Weeks after Jonathan Allen’s arrest, Fairfield Police brought new and horrific details to light about Jonathan’s parenting methods.
On the 31st of March, the day when Jonathan was arrested, law enforcement agents discovered that the California father and his wife, Ina Rogers, forced their children to live in squalor.
Greg Hurlbut, a Fairfield Police Lieutenant, declared that the floors were covered in animal and human feces and that trash was piled in every area of the house. Some of the walls collapsed, making some areas inaccessible.
Ina Rogers, Allen’s 30-year-old wife was also taken into custody but released shortly after posting her $10,000 bail.
Despite everyone pointing fingers at Allen, Rogers told the authorities that her husband never abused his sons and daughters.
As for the home’s appalling appearance, Mrs. Rogers stated that it’s hard to keep everything neat and tidy with ten kids around, several cats, a dog, and, a goldfish on top.
Peggy Allen, Jonathan’s mother, claimed that she told Ina more than once that she needs to clean her house. Unfortunately, her advice fell on deaf ears, as her son kept his family away from her and other relatives.
The investigation moves at the slow pace, for the authorities have to take into account the couple’s background.
Nevertheless, the California father still has to answer for all the charges, which include child torture and imprisonment. At this moment, he’s in the county jail on a $5.2 million bail.
