It would seem that we have one more reason to looking forward to the next year. Battlefield 5 was confirmed by DICE. That’s the same company that smashed all box-offices and rose above all expectation when they’ve released the new version of the critically-acclaimed Star Wars: Battlefront.
Dan Vanderbilt, the big cat himself, who was in charge of the Battlefront project, declared, via a Tweeter post that he and his team has finished working on Battlefront. Thus, they intend on looking forward to new vistas, more specifically to start working on the newest installment in the Battlefield series.
Thre was some hearsay out there saying that Vanderbilt actually wants to release a new version in Bad Company subseries, but it would seem that the rumors are easily rescinded by Vanderbilt Tweet post. On the 11th on December, Dan Vanderbilt wrote the following on his Tweeter account:
Now that we’ve shipped Battlefront and a part of the team continues to work o it, I am moving on to another project, the next Battlefield…
According to inside sources, the new Battlefield PC game will be released somewhere in the first quarter of 2016, and if take another close look at what the game designers have to say, then we can be sure that the next game will be the considered the next-generation experience in terms of gaming.
Whether the developers are working on Battlefront 2 or not, that we cannot say for certain. But, the fact is that all of us are expecting the team to keep working on the existing Battlefront project because, if we recall correctly, the developers promised the gaming community a motherload of DLCs.
According to the numbers, DICE managed to rip the box-office apart when they released the second installment of Bad Company 2. Up until now, the company managed to ship over 5 million copies worldwide and sales are expected to rise in the next period. But with Vanderbilt’s statement, the company should have nothing to fear in term of sales.
When it was released, the first installment of Battlefront was viewed as a success in term of co-op gameplay. And being part of the Star Wars Universe, the game had everything it needed in order to find its way to the top.
So was the story with his younger brother, which rose above all expectations in terms of multiplayer and graphics.
These being said, we have nothing more to do than to patiently wait for the game to be launched on the market.
