The Witcher Enhanced Edition Now Free on GOG

April 30, 2018 By Robert Benson Leave a Comment

Witcher Enhanced Edition

Witcher Enhanced Edition is available for free on GOG.

COUNCIL CHRONICLE – Good news for all Witcher’s fans – the first game of the series (The Witcher Enhanced Edition) along with a GWENT card keg can now be downloaded for free from GOG’s website. Bear in mind that the offer is limited, so come and get it while it’s still hot.

Witcher Enhanced Edition for Free on GOG

If you’re still longing to discover new stuff about Geralt of Rivia or maybe break a few more curses, then you’ll definitely be interested in GOG’s latest announcement.

As part of their recent giveaway campaign, the website is offering The Witcher Enhanced Edition along with a surprise GWENT bonus.

All you have to do is log into your GOG account or sign up for one and subscribe to their newsletter. Sounds way too easy, doesn’t it?

There’s just one caveat – you’ll need to add GWENT to your game library before being able to claim GOG’s offer. Luckily for you, the Witcher-inspired card game is also free to download.

Albeit not the most successful game in the series, The Witcher Enhanced Edition paved the way for one of the greatest games in RPG history. We are of course talking about The Witcher III Wild Hunt, a universe so cleverly designed that it’s nearly impossible to not fall in love with it from the first glance.

Still, we have to remember that before Witcher III came the less polished Witcher 1. If you’ve never tried out the first game of the series or even watched gameplay, it’s only fair to give you a little bit of warning – don’t expect it to be as visually appealing as its distant relative.

The controls alone can send even a seasoned Witcher III gamer into a rage-quit, not to mention the fact that most battles are repetitive and monotonous. Still, the first game of the series does have its qualities, not to mention the fact that it explains some of the things you’ve already in Witcher III.

Mother of Wichita Boy Found Encased in Concrete Pleads Not Guilty, Testifies Against Boyfriend

April 17, 2018 By Robert Benson Leave a Comment

Wichita Boy Murder Trial

The Wichita boy was encased in concrete after her mother’s boyfriend killed him.

On Monday, Miranda Miller, the woman accused of being an accessory to the murder of Evan Brewer, the Wichita boy whose body was found encased in concrete, plead not guilty to first-degree murder charges and agreed to testify against Stephen Bodine, her boyfriend. At the moment, both are kept in the county jail on a $500,000 bond.

Wichita Boy Kept Naked in Basement and Beaten

During Monday court proceedings, Miranda Miller pleaded not guilty in the May murder of her son, Evan Brewer. The woman confessed in front of judge and jury that Stephen Bodine, her former live-in boyfriend, was the one who murdered Evan while she was at home.

Based on the coroner’s report, Brewer’s time of death has been placed sometime between the 18th of May and the 22nd or 23rd of the same month.

During her witness stand, Miller declared that she was not a stranger to Stephen’s ways of disciplining her son, the man claiming on more than one occasion that children should be treated more or less like dogs.

With tears in her eyes, Miller recalled how Bodine abused her child, beating him until he lost consciousness. More than that, it would appear that the accused had a “special” treatment in stock, which he ruthlessly applied each time the child stepped out of line.

According to the mother of the slain Wichita boy, Bodine would take the child to the basement, stripped him of clothes and force him to stand naked with his hands behind his back and a belt wrapped around his neck. The man would claim that the boy deserves no better treatment than a dog if he behaved like that.

During the last beating, Bodine struck the Wichita boy so hard that he lost consciousness and became unresponsive. Miller told the court that Bodine carried the boy to the bathroom where she attempted to perform CPR.

Following Brewer’s murder, Bodine allegedly spent several days locked in the basement, mixing concrete. The boy’s body was discovered and recovered in September by the authorities.

Virginia Woman Nabbed After Refusing to Leave House

On Monday, 41-year-old Roena Cheryl Mills, a Rural Retreat resident, was taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder, drug possession, and several other counts.

According to the authorities, on the day of Mills’ arrest, a homeowner called 911 and told the emergency dispatcher that the Virginia woman showed up at her house in an advanced stage of intoxication and refused to leave.

Allegedly, after being taken into custody, the woman was combative, yelling at the police officers and kicking the dividing window of the police car. During her trip to the police station, the woman reportedly asked the officers to take her home so she can collect her human heads.

Meanwhile, the authorities received another call from the same neighborhood from someone who discovered a decapitated body.  The deceased was identified as 29-year-old Bo Allen White, Mills’ boyfriend.

Conclusion

Inside Bo’s home, the homicide detectives discovered Mills’ missing glove and another part of Bo’s body stashed inside the shed. The Virginia woman was charged with second-degree murder and drug possession. At the moment, she’s being held in county jail in lieu of a $210,000 bond.

Abandoned Mine Shaft Double Murder

New details emerge in the grisly case of the abandoned mine shaft double murder.

COUNCIL CHRONICLE – As Jerrod Baum’s trial continues, new and horrific details come to light in the case of the abandoned mine shaft double murder. This week, prosecutors reveal that sadistic Utah man forced Powell’s girl to watch while he pummeled and stabbed to death her boyfriend before tossing his body in the mine shaft.

Baum’s Girlfriend Might Have Witnessed the Abandoned Mine Shaft Double Murder

On Tuesday, Baum was brought before a Utah jury to answer for the slayings of 17-year-old Brelynne Otteson, and 18-year-old Riley Powell, whose bodies were found inside a Salt Lake abandoned mine shaft.

According to court documents, Baum decided to kill Powell and his girlfriend because he grew tired of seeing the couple visiting Morgan Henderson, Baum’s 34-year-old girlfriend. Henderson told the authorities that Baum has been acting strangely ever since he returned home to find her talking to Powell and Otteson.

After the couple left, Baum allegedly told Henderson that she doesn’t like seeing her in the company of other men and that he will kill them.

The prosecution reveals that Baum kidnapped Powell and Otteson, tied them up in Powell’s jeep, and drove to the abandoned mine shaft, located 70 miles off Salt Lake City.

Investigators discovered that, at the time of the abandoned mine shaft double murder, Baum was accompanied by Henderson, who forced her to get into the jeep.

Baum told the investigators that after ordering the couple in the mine, he forced Otteson to watch as he savagely beat and later stabs her boyfriend. After bearing witness to Baum’s cruelty, the man slit the girl’s throat with a hunting knife.

Although no evidence ties Henderson to the double homicide, the investigators believe that the woman might be withholding information about the case. Baum’s girlfriend might also be sentenced.

According to the Wisconsin authorities, Terry Hibbard, the father of Taralyn Hibbard, the woman who died as result of a heroin overdose in 2017, is scheduled to appear in front of the magistrates. The man has been accused of being instrumental in Taralyn’s death.

Last week, on Wednesday, a Milwaukee jury sentenced Davion “Cheese” Poe to eight years in prison and ten more years under supervision for possessing and distributing narcotics.

The court documents reveal that in July 2016, Taralyn was driven by Terry Hibbard downtown in order to meet with Poe. From his, Taralyn bought $60 worth of heroin. After getting back into the Wisconsin dad’s car, the man drove back to their home, a trailer park located in Grafton.

Once there, the Wisconsin dad allegedly asked her daughter to give him a ‘snort’ and later told her that she could keep the rest of the stash. On the following morning, Taralyn’s body was discovered by one of her friends who alerted the authorities.

Despite her Wisconsin man denying his role in fueling his daughter’s dangerous drug addiction, the authorities discovered several messages on Taralyn’s phone which proved that her father was backing her all the way.

In one text message, the woman would discuss the details of a drug transaction with someone called “Daddy” who was supposed to take her to an individual named “Cheese.” More than that, Taralyn’s message history also reveals that she was revived with Narcan by the Wisconsin father after she overdosed on heroin.

Bothell County Thief Slips on Mud While Stealing UPS Packages

January 30, 2018 By Robert Benson Leave a Comment

UPS packages.

Bothell County thief caught on camera slipping on mud while stealing UPS packages.

Some might call it poetic justice while others simply view it as a heinous act but, apparently a thief managed to take quite a tumble while trying to swipe a couple of UPS packages from a couple’s front porch. The unfortunate incident was caught on camera and shared on Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office’ Facebook page.

Bothell County Thief Severely Injured in The Incident

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office the Bothell house recently robbed was targeted by the same robbers at least a couple of times. After being robbed times and times again, the homeowners decided to install a surveillance system and asked UPS to send them text notifications when a delivery is made.

During the recent event, the Bothell homeowners managed to get a good look at the prowlers. The event was entirely caught on tape to the delight of the entire Sheriff’s Office.

Before the robbery occurred, a UPS delivery man visited the couple’s house and left three parcels. The security tape shows a van stopping in front of the couple’s home. After a couple of minutes, a woman can be seen getting out of the car, running towards the house, and jumping over the fence, going straight to the parcels.

The woman can be seen lifting the boxes and hurrying towards the vehicle. To her misfortune, during the hundred-yard dash, she slipped in a puddle and took a rather nasty fall. The woman can be seen agonizing on the ground before a second suspect appears, presumably the vehicle’s driver.

After helping her get up, the individual picks up the parcels and disappears together with the woman. Obviously, the homeowners were not impressed by this display, saying that one of the boxes contained some medication.

The security footage was handed down to the Snohomish Sheriff’s Office who’s now trying to identify the Bothell County thief and her accomplice.

Fresno Family Says Samsung Washing Machine Blew Up in Mid-Wash

January 18, 2018 By Robert Benson Leave a Comment

Samsung washing machine

Fresno family says that the basement Samsung washing machine blew up.

A family from Fresno is still recovering from a rather unusual incident which took inside their house on Saturday afternoon. According to the family, during the washing cycle, their Samsung washing machine started making loud noises before blowing up in the basement. Samsung admits that this particular model was recalled and offered to reimburse the Fresno family.

Samsung Washing Machine Remodels Family’s Basement

Gabriel Ortega told the press that he was inside the house when it happened. According to the man, on Saturday afternoon, we went down into the basement to put a load on the family’s Samsung washing machine and returned.

A few minutes later, Ortega said that he began hearing loud noises coming from downstairs and later on, something which sounded like an explosion. Believing that a car might have crashed into the house, Ortega went downstairs to investigate. To his bewilderment, instead of finding a car stuck in the wall, he found that the washing machine was all over the place.

According to the man, when the Samsung Washing machine exploded, it hurled hundreds of plastic and metal fragments across the room, damaging the room and putting the drier out of commission. Ortega said that the room looked like it was ransacked by thieves and that he’s relieved that no one was near the appliance when it exploded.

No one knows for sure why the washing machine went haywire, given the fact that Ortega’s step-father bought it no more than two years ago from an official Samsung retailer. After snooping around the internet, the Fresno family discovered that this was not the first time this type of Samsung washing machine blew up and that the company recalled the model.

However, the man did not receive any recall letter from the company and filed a complaint. A Samsung representative told them that they would ship them a new washing machine and dryer.
